In late 1999, the J. N. "Ding" Darling Foundation completed a ten-year project to digitize over 6,800 of the "Ding" Darling editorial cartoons and place them onto a single CD-ROM. The Collection chronicles the trends, thoughts, and politics of the United States from 1912 to 1962.

This database of high resolution cartoons is designed for use on the Windows Operating System and can be run directly from the CD. The cartoons are indexed for key word retrieval based on date, subject, people, places, events and several other fields.
