| "Ding" Darling was frequently credited with being prescient. He always responded that it was easy to foresee the future if you paid any attention to the past. Nonetheless, Darling drew many cartoons for which there did not appear to be any precedent. Near the end of World War Two, he forecast that the recently liberated female work force would not return willingly to home and hearth. |
