The Long, Long Trail
|
| When Theodore Roosevelt (1858–1919) died, Darling drew this fitting tribute to one of his favorite presidents. The image was widely reprinted, becoming perhaps the most widely published cartoon of its time. Reproductions of the cartoon in other media, such as bronze, appear in the many schools across the nation that are named for this popular president. |
